Comfy.

So um...lately I have been obsessed with creature comforts. No thanks, sky high heel shoes, I'll wear some sandals out. So long diet, I'm gonna live with my curves.

You get the picture.

But like, the thought of having an ultra comfy house, relatively small with soft lighting and NOOKS?

Get out of town. I just got a case of the warm fuzzies.

Inspiration for the thoughts of my "perfect house" (leave your judgement here, guys, its what girls DO) :

HOW pretty is this?? It's a good thing I don't own this house, because I'd never leave it.

I would live there. No lie. I know its like a tree house, but...I want this as my house. I'm sure UGA wouldn't mind if I set this puppy up in one of the trees in that wooded area on Lumpkin do you? Nah, I didn't think so either.

Nooks. I've always wanted a nook. Sure, I'd take a Jane Austen in there with me and never get schoolwork done/ forget the outside world for days at a time, but come on. It's worth the risk.

YES.
I don't even care if it would make people call me hobbit...even more so then they already do. It would be so worth it.

Anyways, realistically I would love a nook at the top of the stairs, like this:

How cute!! Bright colors, looks comfy, I could dig it.

If you'll excuse me, I have to go scour the Pottery Barn website.

Go Away Pollen, Nobody Likes You

When most people envision spring they see visions of:

Or:

Or even:

But, not me. When I think of spring, I can expect to look like this:

This:

And maybe even a little bit of this, you know, for all you hot guys out there:

Thats right, I'm one of the few, the proud, the pollen sensitive. The first sights of Spring means I'm in bed, scaring my neighbors with my "who has a pet elephant?" sneezes and "I don't remember the Anthrax threat resurfacing" cough.

Oy.

But I can't complain because I've used it as an excuse to stay in, sleep my days away and gorge myself on Easter candy. And woops, since I'm sick, guess I can't workout today!

Maybe this pollen thing has its upsides....

Anyways, for all of you who aren't too busy sneezing your life away, Athens is beautiful in the Spring. There will definitely be some pictures once I get out of my house for more than an hour! Stay tuned!!

*Quote of the Day: (about decent people): "It is true that they form a minority. More than that, they always will remain a minority. And yet I see therein the very challenge to join the minority. For the world is in a bad state, but everything will become still worse unless each os us does his best. So, let us be alert---alert in a twofold sense:
Since Auschwitz we know what man is capable of.
And since Hiroshima we know what is at stake."
